A note on construction

The I-30 Canyon Project, a multi-year highway reconstruction, is actively reshaping the streets around us. Several bridges connecting downtown to the Cedars are closed or closing. Getting here takes a little more intention right now, but we promise it's worth it.

The Lamar Street bridge is closed. If you've come to shows here before, your old route may not work. Please use the directions below.

By car

Avoid
Lamar St bridge, Akard St, Cadiz St, and Cesar Chavez Blvd at I-30 — all currently closed at the freeway.

From downtown
Dallas / North of I-30 

Take Griffin Street south across I-30. Griffin is currently the primary open bridge connecting downtown to the Cedars. Once you cross, turn left on Browder Street and follow it to Botham Jean Boulevard. Poor David's will be on your right.

From I-35E Southbound

Exit at Corinth Street and head east. Follow Corinth to Botham Jean Boulevard and turn left. Poor David's is about half a mile up on your left.

From I-30 Eastbound 


Exit at Griffin Street and turn right (south). Follow Griffin to Browder Street, turn left, then right on Botham Jean Boulevard.

From I-30 Westbound

Exit at Corinth Street (Cesar Chavez exit is currently closed) and follow signs south into Cedars. Turn right on Botham Jean Boulevard.

Highly recommended during construction.

With bridge closures affecting the neighborhood, the train is genuinely the easiest way to get here right now.

Poor David's is less than a 5-minute walk from The Cedars Station on the Red and Blue Lines.

Directions from the station: Exit onto Belleview Street & turn left heading towards Botham Jean Boulevard. Turn right onto Botham Jean and Poor David's is just ahead on your left.

Parking

Behind the venue We share the parking lot behind Poor David's with The Canvas Hotel. Park in any open space. If an attendant is present, let them know you're here for a show. If you see cones blocking spaces against the garage wall where the signs say "Poor David's Parking Only," move the cone & park there - those spots are saved for you! 

Across the street There's a surface lot directly across the street from us on Botham Jean Blvd. Parking is FREE WHEN NO ATTENDANT IS PRESENT (ignore the signs). If an attendant is present at the lot, you must pay what they are charging. 

In front of the building There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the building on Botham Jean Blvd. Read the signs carefully to make sure you're parking within the allotted spots.
